  • A cartoon planet and pterodactyl crossing in front of a star with the word `pterodactyls` overlayed.
  • A circle with many lines and dots radiating outwards. The image represents Kepler's planetary systems, where lines connect multi-planet systems plotted to-scale by their orbital separations.

Video Games

I love video games! Especially indie games and puzzle games. Keep up with what I'm playing by following these links to my

Steam

and

PlayStation

profiles.

Gaming with Disabilities

I'm disabled, and have been playing games with my feet for the last few years. I make use of various accessibility-focused controller peripherals, including the Xbox Adaptive Controller & Joystick + the Logitech Adaptive Gaming Kit, or a pair of PlayStation Access Controllers. I often take my set-up to local events & tournaments so others can try out different ways to play, and am always down to help people explore tools (both hardware and software) that can meet their gaming needs.

Anime & Manga

I read a lot of manga, and try to watch a few anime each season. You can find a mostly-complete list of the series I've read/watched on my

MAL profile.

The One Piece Metric

How long does it take a manga to say "one piece"? Maybe it's referencing the titular treasure, or in more common phrases like "let me give you one piece of advice" / "you won't make it out in one piece." I keep track of this very useful and totally not pointless statistic, dubbed "The One Piece Metric."

Below is a plot showing the fraction of manga series that have said "one piece" by the time they reach a particular chapter, based on the official English translations of series I've read. You can find all my recorded entries at

this spreadsheet.
